Note: This feature is not included on the Mac app.
- Tap the map icon in the toolbar to bring up the maps menu, then tap Download at the top of the card.
Select the tiles for the areas you want to download and tap on “Next”:
This menu displays your current Base Map and Overlay selection with the option to add other layers for that same area you selected.
At the top you can select which of your overlays you want included in the download.
Adding Elevation Data here allows you to use the Line of Sight tool on the trail as well as the Slope Angle Map or Heat Map.
When it has completed downloading the squares will show in red. The second you toggle on another overlay, though, the tiles will show green again. This is only because it is downloading the additional overlays, not because it is re-downloading the entire map.
To view existing downloads, tap on “Download” and then “Manage Downloaded Maps”, select the downloaded area you want to view and it’ll give you a list of maps and overlays that are included.
Tapping “Add Maps and Regions” allows you to add to the existing download.
